I understand what you are saying, but if the "nothing to hide" argument is valid, than it should be valid for the average citizen as well. But then everyone gets up in arms about privacy rights and stuff. But if you aren't doing anything wrong, you shouldn't be concerned with being randomly pulled over and having police do random searches of your belongings, right?
