I have a 1990 s13, anyways the brake light on the dash (the one that is lit up when the parking brake is on) lights up randomly when i am driving, and it will stay on for a while and then turn off.
It usually occurs when i am driving and i go over a bumpy surface, or hit a pothole. I have checked the fluid, but the fluid level is fine.
I am wondering what it is because it interferes with my turbo timer, whereas the car will turn off if the hand brake lever is dropped while the key is out of the ignition, but when this light is on, the engine will not turn off if the hand brake lever is dropped.

The other dash light is linked with my door open light, for some reason my trunk latch or something back there is broken but it is causing the open door warning light to come on randomly, and the dome light comes on at that time which is annoying at night, but i am more worried about battery issues.

any info would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have the nissan replacement part names / part numbers needed to fix this problem....
