I suggest you do a ton of research. Seriously, you need to have a clue what you're getting into, rather than coming here and asking a bunch of guys on the internet to do it for you.
Personally, I'd stick with the 4cyl engines, but I'm biased. The cheapest solution would drop a motor-set that bolts right in(SR), rather than having the extra expense of a mount kit. A BPU SR is probably all you need at this point. It'll still get great fuel mileage while having that extra oomph that I suppose you're looking for.
There is tons of information on this site. Take some time and look through it all. If you have specific questions you can't find an answer for, come back. I sure there will be some flaming as there always is.
