You literally just connect to stuff you need to power/not power. I used the12volt forums to get some basic relay wiring information.
After a year of running it like that & making more modifications based on what I wanted/added, I got one of the painless wiring kits - super easy.

Thanks dude! Yeah after tearing out the harness today it seems pretty simple and straight forward. I think it was just staring at all those wires had me questioning my existence. Lol
