Ignition switch is very simple to understand. Looking in the electrical section of the FSM tells you everything.
There are FIVE wires that pertain to the ignition switch.
Keep in mind the wire colors below are from the harness side, not the side going to the bay. They will change to different colors.
#1: Solid white wire. This is a constant 12V source from the battery
#2: Solid blue wire. This is your ACC wire, when you turn the key to ACC, this wire will now have power. ACC will activate the ACC relays and will power on your radio, TCU, rear window defogger, meter illumination and auto antenna.
#3: Black w/ red Stripe wire. (I believe this changes to black w/white wire) This is the wire that receives power when you turn ignition to Ignition ON. In addition to the devices that turned on from the ACC wire, you will now have the remaining electronical components in the car have power.
#4: Black w/ white stripe. Goes to the starter directly, at the harness it actually turns into a black w/ yellow stripe wire going to the engine bay.
#5: Black w/ yellow stripe wire. (I believe this changes to black w/green wire) This goes to your ECU and daytime light control unit.
So in a nutshell, with your key in the ON position you need to make your momentary switch do the three of the following things:
#1: Cut power off to ACC (wire #2) entirely. You'll need the extra juice to start the car.
#2: Give power to wire #4 above.
#3: Give power to wire #5 above.
Once the car is started the key will still be in the ON position and you should now have power running from wire #1 to wires #2 and #3 only.
