ONLY for those that have been complaining:

damn you guys are friggin idiots!!! DON'T WORRY! this convention will go on without every 240sx owner on the Continental US attending... including everyone bitching about it being in LA. If YOU really want it in your neck of the woods... by all means, summer of 2003 will be hosted in your backyard. Only thing is, YOU have to find a track, hotel discount, friday and saturday event setup.  Get t shirts printed up, coordinate with the other 240sx groups (Atlanta, Southeast, Midwest, Florida, NorCal, Socal, Canada, etc etc) and of course... promo... You have to go around to every forum around and invite people there where you'll run into IDIOTs like yourselves bitching about why it's not held where it's most convenient to "EVERYONE".

Neither the 240sx community, SoCal240sx, nor does Mav1178 owe YOU or your extended family anything! It be great if everyone could make it, but everyone's gotta life to live. Those that could accommodate, awesome, can't wait to see you this July, if you can't... too bad, maybe next time. If you don't wanna/can't drive out to LA, once again, too bad, maybe next time. But don't be bitching about it.

NOBODY could care less whether you can make it here or not. Mav1178 posted this for those that CAN make it, not to tease those of you that CAN'T. Most of the core people that started off with the original Amarok list will be there, and honestly, as long as they are, this convention will be a success. Those that have been bitching about it seems to be the newbies to the community and NO, nobody owes you a more convenient place.  

Fact is, LA is at the other end of the country, and yea, Kansas does make a lot of sense, or Nebraska, or Texas, or wherever the hell YOU want it. THEREFORE, next year or somewhere down the line, be sure YOU take it upon yourself to organize it, then YOU can make the selection as to its location.

FOR everyone else that hasn't complained:

hope you could make it out here, and if you can't, try to make the next one. If you are driving out here, drive safe.
