Its annoyingly impossible to read without punctuation. In fact, I gave up after a few lines. Though from what I did attempt to read before it made my brain hurt, was that you are on the right track.
I mentioned this book before, not sure if was in this thread or another, "God according to God". It really clears up a lot of peoples misconceptions due to peoples misinterpretations of the Bible. The guy who wrote is a Physicist.
Oh and to answer drift and draggs question about hardcore bible thumpers. In a sense Jesus did encourage the spreading of the word. There is a good way for someone to do this and a bad way.
The good way is to gauge if someone is receptive to your views and then if they are discuss with them. If they are not move on.
The people that sit there and say I am saved you are not are judging and according to the book they carry that is a no no. Lest not judge lest ye be judged thyself.
I also do not agree with its my religion or your not saved, that just makes no sense whatsoever. What about the people on the Pacific Island that have never heard of Jesus or a Western or Eastern religion are they condemned? I don't think so.
In fact I think if they follow the universal truths and try to be good people then they are fine.
