yeah, my 240 left me stranded a few days ago because one popped off and I left my 11mm wrench at home (which stays in my center console for that very reason but I put it in my track day bag and forgot to put it back in the car after the last event)
worm gears will DIG in to the silicone which is good. if its dug in, it won't go anywhere, can't slip off like a t-clamp. smooth metal on smooth silicon = slip under pressure.
