Have the smoked tails on my vert, I love them. Purchased from a vendor off ebay. Just get the cheapest you can find because they are all made by the same company. Had them on there for a while and they are holding up great. The plastic housing trim faded a bit but I painted and clear coated that and they look better than the day I got them. I've never had any problems with the seals leaking.
Like someone said above the clear tails hurt my eyes or something. Lol. They stick out too much. The smoked tails actually illuminate very well too. Better than any other smoked tails I've ever seen.
I'd recommend the smoked tails, and think they'd look abaolutely great on a grey car! End of the day it's your car and your taste. Good luck man
