Give me an afternoon and I'll find an idiot to say he doesn't know who Obama or the Beetles are.
What people need to realize is we have made the Nazi's into super human (pardon the pun) demons that are greater than life. They are villains of Science Fiction proportion.
In reality they where actually just "regular people" living in a "modern society" who had moved beyond the "barbarism" of the 19th century. They where educated, they where polite, sociable, had friends and families and even found support throughout the world. They where your next store neighbor living in a country not to different then any modern Western Country.
It can.. and sadly will, happen again.
People also forget about the
REAL horrors of the 20th century.
Guess no one cares because there are not videos of it.
Mao Ze-Dong (China, 1958-61 and 1966-69, Tibet 1949-50)
49-78,000,000
Jozef Stalin (USSR, 1932-39)
23,000,000 (the purges plus Ukraine's famine)
Adolf Hitler (Germany, 1939-1945)
12,000,000 (concentration camps and civilians WWII)
Leopold II of Belgium (Congo, 1886-1908)
8,000,000
Hideki Tojo (Japan, 1941-44)
5,000,000 (civilians in WWII)
The worst genocides of the 20th Century
Why is this film maker not whining about Stalin and Mao? Why are we not constantly told about the horrors and evils of the communists? Communists are actually still around, and globally have killed more people then Hitler even PLANNED to kill.
