No not really because we are expected to sin. We are not perfect. God forgives if we realize our mistakes and try to correct them. In a Biblical sense.
Of course these are also somewhat of universal truths. Fact is, man is not perfect and does sin. Fact is, if you have a sense of guilt or regret for the sin or mistake and strive to change, it shows you want to be better. In effect you save yourself.
For the people that don't believe in God for the people who do you are trying so God forgives and if you believe in Jesus it just reinforces that belief of forgiveness on Gods part.
oh and I am sure your statement might have been in jest, but none the less given this discussion felt I would expound on it. LOL
