I'm lost is the mechanical timing fixed yet? If they knew what the problem was why didn't they just correct it and tune accordingly?

ya i just fixed the mechanical timing a few days ago, i never knew that's what it was, i kinda stumbled upon it by accident.
I brought it to 2 different shops and spent thousands of dollars trying to fix it, but no one could figure out what was wrong. the car has been sitting for more than a year because of it.
Today I ended up rewiring my harness to except the stock ecu and maf, but it was late so i will have to wait until morning to start it. im keeping my fingers crossed.
