I think it is a ridiculous idea to have Alex reimburse people for gas money, you are to come at you own will, Alex did not force you. This isn't some RSVP to a house party.
I think driving 2-3 hours to the event is too much money, and I have to take 2 days off work. Should I ask Alex to reimburse me? its only $30!!? No, I'm not an idiot. thats probably hundreds of people coming out of state or from other areas of california. Alex is the host of this event, and he lives in Southern California (socal), not east coast or Kansas. That is why it is in Socal. You want one in another state? well maybe you should try to host it, or find someone in that state to host it.
Hope too see you guys there, but if you got to whine about the costs, or you can't afford it and you think Alex owes you something, do us all a favor, shut up and stay home.
