So, we loaded up, left at 3am and headed 8 hours south to Atlanta!
Ofcourse, it took longer than anticipated, so we got there right as the Driver's Meeting was about to start. Unloaded the 32, cleaned it out, and... missed the meeting. Passed tech with just some electrical tape on the battery terminal (first time being told that).
Brutus loved the spectator section..
This event was a BLAST. I haven't had so much fun at an event since my last Nikko day. The Motorland SP layout was well worth the long drive. A Japanese style track, that's actually accurate, allows slower cars to chase down faster cars since the main corner is a deceleration corner and it'ss all about the brake work.This made the 32 even more fun.
A few things came up during the event; I need an oil cooler. The SMIC didn't heat soak nearly as bad as at Panthera. This was much less stressful on the car, but I still want to get the FMIC done before the next event. Angle; I had fun pushing the car as is, but I'm going to add some rack spacers. I'll likely keep the boost at stock pressures, but I picked up some gauges and want to toss them in to keep an eye on a few things.
I ended up making it into the Top 16 Battles, and in the first round went up against FD Driver Dustin Miles. It was such a fun time chasing him down! We ended up going OMT and I spun on my lead entry trying to push a little more, hah! Regardless it was so fun.
It was so much fun pushing this car as is. Trying to get a faster and faster run up to the entry and see how far I could push the stock angle was so exciting.
