Price increase on Nismo Power Brace for S14 -- FYI
 

Nismo Japan quietly raised MSRP of the S14 Power Brace sometime between mid-December and now.

I can still get more in the future but it's going to be over $560.

If anyone is looking to buy, the S14 Power Brace via Motorsport/Nissan dealers in the US is suddenly cheaper. I know Motorsport has dead stock of it for $300-400 range because they imported them via air freight.

Are you referring to corner 3 motorsports? Just Google and they have it listed for 190.

Have you tried actually buying it from them?

I can list stuff for sale for cheap but fulfillment is a different story. Corner 3 was buying it from Tomei USA, but that source has been cut off since late 2017.

My original post is referencing Nissan Motorsport and the dealers (Nissan or aftermarket performance) that buy from them for S14 Power Brace.

S13 Power Brace is still the same price.

I wasn't bashing, just genuinely interested. Might try to pick one up now because I dont want to pay 500+ for one later

not bashing... it's just a matter of reality, plenty of companies advertise parts for sale but can't actually fulfill your order once you place it.

nissan has been raping the pricing on motorsport parts for a couple of years now. its a damn shame.

It is. I love nissan, but the company is unfortunately struggling. Hopefully their new line of trucks and cars can pull them out of the gutter. Hopefully the 400z is a real seller for them.

Question is would you have them raised the price OR discontinued the item? I mean look at all the parts they stop making. All went up in prices

You sir have made a great point. I'd rather have a new expensive part then a used expensive part. However best case is Nissan pulls itself out of near bankruptcy so that prices won't go up or all their parts become discontinued.

Effective April 1 Nismo is increasing pricing for the following (increase is approximate based on percentage change on cost side)

• S13 Power Brace 3x
• KA/SR motor mounts 2.5x
• CA18 motor mounts 1.5x
• S13/14/15 transmission mount 2x
• other motor/transmission mounts 1.5x to 3x
• S13/14 S-Tune suspension ~$250 price increase

I have a lot of stuff on order but about half of it will not be fulfilled. Will make the remaining items available for sale when it arrives, but right now I do not know what my true cost is.

jesus, I know nissan is hurting for money, but is this the way to do it. ouch. I understand you won't know for sure until things come in, but will you have any s13 power braces?

in case anyone wants Power Brace in the US:

Nissan Motorsport (TN) stock:

• S13 - 30+pcs, MSRP $664
• S14/15 - 40+ pcs, $382 MSRP

The above two items are readily available from any Nissan dealer or parts dealer that buys from Motorsport in TN. 54480-RSS30US or 54480-RSS51US, Google it. Absurd pricing probably because they brought in the inventory via air freight before and the cost reflects a very high landed cost.

Nissan Motorsport International (Japan):

• S13 - JPY 34000 MSRP, if I were to sell probably about $450 + shipping in the US
• S14/15 - JPY 48000 MSRP, if I bring in, will probably be about ~$600 + shipping in the US

Hey man, when I checked it said no longer available on nismoparts.nissanusa.com - is that what you are showing too?

"no longer available" on the US site really just means the US counterparts (Nissan USA or Nissan Motorsports TN) no longer wants to carry the part.

It's still listed in the Japan catalog. The inventory qty I posted was what was in stock back in Feb of this year at Motorsport in TN.

Any dealer that buys from them will get the same info.
