There's a few parking lot HPDE/auto-x events here. Pungo Airfield usually has one or 2 events every month and theres a few in Petersburg. Then you have NCCAR which has a track, grip events atleast once a month or so but there's 3 scheduled drift events this year. First time they're letting people drift there so hopefully it'll become a recurring thing.

Then there's a track that's being build in Fredericksburg/Spottysylvania area...

but yeah, I had planned on doing a mt swap on her as she is an auto, life got in the way. but yeah, ol' boy got a few jobs now and can feed her some money, ended up with a ka24de, couple 5 speed trannys, harness and what not.. I've ordered most of the parts already and I'm getting ready to take her to the hobby shop at Langley.. this is my first swap on one of these cars, would anybody like to lend a hand? I'm sure a case of beer could appear somewhere in there lol.. also I still need a maf, crossmember, and a driveshaft if anybody knows where they could be sourced that would be great..

Now would be a good time to start cleaning up that DOHC KA your tossing in. I'd replace all the vacuum lines on in, specially the ones to the EGR since those are probably cooked already. I'd probably clean that EGR and tube out since you can access it now. Basically prep it before you put it in the car.

it's already pretty clean, I got it off of a guy in va beach along with a harness 5 spd trans and ecu.. it was a kat, still has the bung in the oil pan..which I have to cap off for the time being. but I have cleaned a good portion of it and one of my trannys.. I just want everything to go together nice and pretty.

Double check the EGR vacuum lines and the EGR. Would suck to find out you have a faulty/clogged EGR after you put it in the car.

doesn't have one, came with the an egr delete, block off plate and all.. only 2 vac lines left,or 3..

i'd go ahead and start prepping the bay too, get off the inevitable 25 year old gunk that's been built up, and maybe even a respray. At least a rattle can.
