They do have some pretty fast torpedoes. In the end it wouldn't fare well for them though.

war does cost, but we have some much arsenal stock piled we can afford to make it rain! Plus there are a few countries that would benefit and would happily send us some cash! Ten years in the Navy serving with the marines war is the new agenda! We also have the military sealift command, that have ships floating around the globe with capabilities to supply the materials need to rage war and accomplish the mission!

Now, they get REALLY ballsy and launch some artillery at some beach in Virginia or some shit.

Well, sucks for whoevers on the beach that day, but hey immediately after that those ships are getting wiped off the face of the planet by the already hundreds to thousands of weapons pointed at them.

But wait, said ships just hit our coast with some artillery. Thats anywhere between 0-100+ people dead or injured. Assuming those guys know how to aim a gun :P

Iran is going to attack us? They don't seem to realize how large of a mistake that would be... Fighting terrorist cells inside of cities full of civilians is very different from fighting an organized military with hard targets filled with enemy combatants. I imagine if Iran sends anything this way they'll have a new tourist attraction: "The Gorgeous Glass Ground of Tehran."

i think they got there ships from Russia,along with these missiles that can take out big ships from a good distance. but like you all are saying, there pretty much bringing fist to a gun fight. we could prolly launch missiles off our shore and take them out. id kinda like to see this happen. i want to see how bad ass our military technology is.

Hearts and minds, we haven't unleashed on any country since world war ll. If your a student of war you would know we are playing the political game. We want the resources there and that's all it is to it. I would love to see the us navy unleash its might but we couldn't controll the civilian death toll. Think if we parked every aircraft carrier, guided missle destroyer, and a few subs as close as possible to Iran, they would shit themselves! Fucking caves are u serious.

lol yea, that would never happen. Some one correct me here if I'm wrong, but the largest Naval base is in Norfolk/VA Beach region. An attack over there...and it's game over for those Iran vessels.



Now what could happen are some "war exercises" in international waters.
