Cali smog,
 

Hey guys so i have been trying to smog my 91 240 (dohc)
it passed everything except the nox(common thing with 240s)
so i cleaned the egr valve and the metal pipe that goes around form the exhaust manifold to the air manifold.
My nox was reading 3300. and i was wondering if that's possible, perhaps i hooked the egr back on wrong?
can some one please help me :/

just bypass the egr and run it to intake vacuum. there's threads on here or on the web on how to do it.

Mine failed 9 times, lulz. If you have money buy a Magnaflow cat. It helped me out a lot.

What were your nox readings? I might have to do that next time smog rolls around

Same with me but mine barely failed I cleaned it out it was clean no crap no nothing Idk cats new Idk what's going on

Yeah same here. But mine definitely smells like gas when warming up. But runs fine.
