Post coilover alignment
 

Just dropped my S14 on Buddy Club coils. What other suspension parts do I need to install to get a decent alignment done? Any info would help, thanks

Depends on your definition of a decent alignment. Technically, you can take it in now.

If there are things that you want/need to adjust beyond OEM limitations, then do your research and get what you need.

You dont need anything at OEM ride height...

Not quite sure what you're asking for...

If you lowered your car lower than 2" and want OEM-ish specs, you will need adjustable arms. Dropping the car 1.5" will still change the alignment but I believe that there is a slight range of adjustability in OEM arms to get you close to OEM specs. Don't quote me on that one though.

Anyway, if suspension geometry/roll center/etc. matters to you, you'll also need custom knuckles and control arms to fix that. Here's a thread to get you started: #/f/tech-talk/296725...on-thread.html

Okay, as mentioned before, you will need adjustable arms. And depending on your wheel/tire set up, you may need to roll or pull your fenders.

how much you pay for those coilover
and are you wanting camber or no?
and how much you wanting to spend?

Rear Upper Control Arms to adjust rear camber
Rear Toe Arms to sort out rear toe
Front Tension Rods because they're gonna shit the bed as soon as you drive the car around at battleship ride height.

That's it. Front tie-rod's have enough adjustment in them.

my friend runs the circuit sports set up, made the car alot stiffer and is pretty strong, that being said ive drove it and ride in it often so id recommend it for the price. also i heard the isis set is pretty good, plus they run it on their drift cars and through all the beating they dont break often so for a daily those would be great also. of course thats my opinion. all in all it just comes down to what your willing to spend.

Just keep an eye on the heim joints and make sure you put anti-corrosion grease in the threads.

this is the kind of research that should be done BEFORE you buy your zomghellaflushi'msoJDMTYTE coilovers.

if you are decently low, the stock arms will not have enough room to compensate, and the car will not be able to be set back within acceptable specs.

Yeah I know. Ive been out of the game for awhile. It's been 7 years since I sold my old S14. Those 7 years have been real hard. I just recently have been fortunate to purchase another S14 with 65k original miles. And for once I have the money to do all the things I wanted to to with my old one. I use to live in Houston and the 240 scene there is huge, I now live in Colorado where the RWD scene is very small due to the snow. So I really appreciate all the help from you guys on this site. As you can see I'm going to need more! Suspension and alignment geometry n all that hasn't been a strong point for me in the past so any input I very thankful for.
