new 3 row radiator sitting to high
 

This is on a redtop sr20det 240sx s13.I
got a megan 3 row radiator to help keep the temps lower.the radiator didn't come with gromments or any mounting brackets so I figuered I'd use the ones from the OEM radiator.once installed the clearance seems pretty off as the radiator sits so high the OEM top mounting brackets don't even touch the chassis.now I was considering cutting the bottom rubber mounting gromments down to bring the radiator down a bit then I thought maybe I'm not supposed to reuse the bottom mounting gromments?I'm worried though if I remove the bottom grommets the radiator will rub and over time create a leak.so should I remove completely or just cut them down?are these radiators not supposed turn reuse the OEM gromments?

make sure its seated all the way done and into the grommets, sometimes they'll sorta stick up if they're not seated all the way down, ie the little stabbers at the bottom of the radiator into the grommets themselves.

I don't know if I would cut the grommets, as they are kinda important for you not to rub holes in it

If all else fails you could always space up the bracket with some washers

I'd guess it's not seated down all the way, even the s14 radiators fit in s13 and they are taller.

Another one for not being seated all the way down. I've used s13/14 ka and sr radiators throughout the years and I've never had an issue other than not being seated all the way down. Granted I've only used stock and Koyos though.

take some measurements and I can compare them to my stock s13 sr20 koyo for you. Mine fit fine.

My sr is hooked up to this cheap ebay triple core for an sr (dna motorsports) and it fit perfectly fine, im sure megan is better quality than that, so either they sent you the wrong radiator or the thing isn't stabbed in all the way

To mimic all of the above, it's not seated in the gromets...it' snot like one out of the hundreds doesn't work from MR
