need some help asap got a clutch put in my buddies s13 and its smoking litterally could use some input like what it is????? thanks

hey yall me and my buddie put a clutch in his 93 s13 and we started it up to drive and the tob is whinning and its smokin out of the bellhousing i was wantin to know if anyone knew what it could be could it be the tob we used the one that came with the kit and everyone says to use a oem could use some help??????? please!!!:confused: thanks

Did you clean the flywheel and pressure plate with brake cleaner?

no it was a resurfaced flywheel and a brand new exedy pressure plate and 6 puck disc

They use cutting oil when they resurface and the new PP has shipping oil/wax on them you need to remove it before installing the clutch disk or you will glaze it.

will it burn off or will it mess up the disc or anything like that

Oil, grease, wax will contaminate the clutch disk. Which will then glaze over the flywheel and PP.

so that will ruin it? and could it cause it to slip? and would you recommend using a oem tob or the one that came with the kit
