Starter rebuild?
 

I decided to buy a brush kit for my starter after looking through some guides but ive come to a problem. All the startes ive seen in guides have clips or screw onto the round plate. Mine dont. The brush wires are just kinds stuck to it and stupide me, i cut the wires before thinking. So this is what it looks like now

My question is do i just clean up the old wires that are stuck on there and solder the new ones on??
