How To Find Out If I have a VLSD?
 

WIth the rear end raised up, the car in gear, and spin one tire and when doing so the other tire spins in the opposite direction, means what? Does that mean I have a VLSD, or open diff?

I thought that if you had a open diff and if you would spin one tire then that the other would not spin at all.

so am i wrong?

im a newb my self but i know i have an open diff and when i spin 1 wheel the other spins oposite i think if you turn the drive shaft they should boath turn if you have vsld dont quote me on that

If you have ABS you have VLSD. If you have VLSD you have ABS.

. When turning one wheel, BOTH should turn the SAME direction if you have LSD. If one moves the opposite direction OR does not move at all.. you have an open diff.

jeez man, stop at a stoplight/intersection, 3500 rpm, pop the clutch, floor it, go back sometime and see how many black marks you left.

also what year is your car? 89/90 then DEFINATELY no VLSD
if its 91+ and a fastback you need HICAS

80% of the people DONT have VLSD

and wheel spining other way is a guaranteed sign you DONT have VLSD

yeah vlsd only came with abs. I have one im my car but i cut the abs sensor cause i dont need that shit. haha :coold:
With the rear up its both wheels are supposed to spin in the same direction not to mention what i just said above where you would see a wire that is the abs switch if you have the whole rear member thats a vlsd or you could look for the sticker. SEARCH

if the car is in neutral when youre spinning the wheels by hand, they will spin opposite directions.

if they spin the same direction with the car in gear, you have LSD.
