93 240sx S13 Hesitates when accelerating on low rev
 

I have posted this before but i thought I fixed the problem..... so here i am again. my car would hesitate (Rock back and forth) when accelerating below 2000rpm. This started happening when my coolants were leaking and I was driving for 10-20 minutes without even knowing about it. when I got home, there was light smoke coming out of the engine somewhere. when I fix the leak and replace my coolant, everything is fine except for the hesitation issue. I changed my spark plug but that didnt help. any ideas ??

my buddy had a hestitation, he changed his plug wires and it helped but still had a bit of hesitation and then changed his igntion wire from the distributor to the igntion coil and it went away, so maybe try that

Check the egr or egr backpressure valve with a vacuum tester. It caused hesitation on my KA S13.

Plugs, wires, check your timing. It's supposed to be 18-22* btdc. Mine was set at 25. It idled smooth but hesitated like a mofo. Once I set it back down I gained a ton of torque back.
