Facilities Electrical Team – Network Installer

The Role

We are currently hiring a goal-oriented Network Installer for our Fremont, CA operation.
This
individual will be driven to succeed and will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day
operations of the Fremont Facilities Department. This position includes assisting the Facilities
Network Team with installation of Cat6 shielded and unshielded cables, terminating and testing
for connectivity on a variety of jobs throughout the Fremont Factory. This position will be
responsible for troubleshooting and relocating existing network cables, cameras and IT devices
throughout the Fremont Factory.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Installation of new Cat6 cables, terminating shielded RJ45 jacks and testing.
• Assist with troubleshooting requests and provide great customer service.
• Ensuring that material is safely and securely installed on building structure.
• Ability to use scissor/boom lift to install network cables throughout the factory.
• Assist IT Department with installation of security cameras.
• Accurately document IDF, Switch and port information for every installation.
• Installation of Kronos Clocks and Wireless Access Point.
• Maintaining and help track all network materials and equipment.
• Conduct inventory counts of all network materials.
• Follow all safety rules and guidelines.

Requirements

• Available to work Monday thru Friday and Sundays from 5:00am to 2:30pm.
• High School diploma or equivalent, or evidence of exceptional ability.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize projects as needed.
• A valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record (subject to review)
• Flexible work availability and comfortable with overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Previous network installation experience preferred (2+ years).
• Ability to work well as part of a team is mandatory.
• Punctuality and a professional, can-do attitude are a must.
• A commitment to adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines.
