Carbon Fiber has been the topic in the forums for a LONG time so I thought I'd bring this up. I have just emailed a company in Australia that makes Carbon Fiber Silvia parts. All of the stuff is RHD parts but I asked if they would be interested in producing LHD parts. So they asked me to get some numbers so they can look at the interest numbers.

I asked mainly about the Radio surround which they make as a factory replacement, meaning it pops right into the area with the same clips and all, I also asked about the center console, and listed some other options.

Most of this was based on S13 but they do make S14 parts as well but I think the S14 parts aren't RHD/LHD specific, please correct me if I am wrong.

So who would be interested in these and what specificly would you be interested in?

s14 parts are also different between rhd and lhd

i believe 9k racing makes carbon fiber interior as well and they located in cali

Just checked their site and I don't see anything of interest in CF.

I want a replacement radio/climate control bezel. Not a used one that's been sitting in the sun for 20 years.

I'd like to see the center console with ash tray for s13, cluster bezel, door handle trim, steering wheel covers, and B pillar finishers on the outside. I don't care much for kick plates or fuse box covers.

I didn't even think about the pillers or the door trim, I'll have to add those when I email them next.

I too would be quite interested in the idea of a fresh not so sunbathed dash

I have a few more ideas for carbon pieces. What about the dash vents? The long one closer to the firewall is notorious for cracking, also there's vents on the sides. Also I have seen the triangle pieces that cover the mounting points for the side view mirrors. But I would also like to know what's up with 9K's kit since he's closer, it will probably be better.

Id take the radio trim!

im a cf nut but this faked wrap sh*t turned it all ricey

+1 on all cf parts i started to actually make my own parts and turned by radio bezel in to gauge pod i want a solid carbon piece that isnt cut out for radio so its flush

That's about right for carbon fiber, the time it takes to make it properly and the materials. My carbon fiber RB26DETT engine covers were $300, when your getting things that are made of CF you have to expect a higher price.

I'm down for everything, besides the kick panel, and fuse box cover. But, if there is a package deal, at a decent price, I'll take it all. Another idea, is that plastic piece that has the window switches. For the center console, would it be the complete center console, all the way to the bottom of the radio trim? The ashtray idea above, is awesome too.

They it's whole center console but from their RHD version it doesn't look like they make the ashtray in CF but I'm sure if this gets under way it could be a possibility to make the ashtray or atleast a replaceable flip top.

I really hope, that this does go through. Although, I already have a radio surround, but I need everything else.

So, how's the forecast looking on getting these parts made?

This sums it up for me pretty well, but I'd be interested in the kick panels, fuse box covers, glove box. Always wanted CF B Pillars for the outside.

Any updates on making this a reality?

Nothing yet, I sent them links to the 3 forums that I posted this up on so they could have the numbers. I'm assuming it might take a bit for them to sort out. I guess they have a few projects they are working on at the moment.

Nothing back as of yet, I will email them this week and see if there has been any progress.

I hope there has been. Really looking to finish up my interior, with some cf pieces.

If you guys are interested in any carbon fiber parts lmk! We do alot of plastic and carbon fiber/fiberglass fabrication at my company.

Marc @ carbonmiata makes 240 carbon parts.....I have b pillars,inside mirror trim(little triangle thingy on the inside),arm rest,radio surround,and ashtray carbon wrapped. He has some in stock other not so popular stuff you have to send it in and he'll wrap it. I havent had free time or xtra$$$ to send him my column surround,a pillars (driver side w/ 2 gauge pod) but he pretty much can wrap anything and does great work

9k wont post up premade parts, but if you pay them they will custom make something for you. they just recently finished a full carbon roof on an evoX. and if they have the mold itll be cheaper.
