Our next meet will be in the East Bay, at Pleasanton Sports & Recreation Park, Parking Lot 2. Parking Lot 3 (adjacent to Parking Lot 2) is expected to be closed, but if it becomes open we may use that lot instead.

After entering Parkside Drive, you'll see Sports Park Drive on your right. Enter Sports Park Drive and the first lot will be Parking Lot 2. Please refer to this map of the park.

seems like a very good spot, did you have to reserve? it's near the picnic area, so bring food people! pizza, chicken, chips, drinks! ya'll know what i'm bringin, hehe, more lumpia :p. i'm bringin my football, but you guys should bring baseball stuff too, since the diamonds are close to our parking. and who has R/C cars? bring those too! let's make it lunch time Daniel, since I'm bringin food and all, say, be there by 11:30 or no food?

I got a rc car but not sure if i will make it though...

that would be sweet if we could set up a game, we'd have to make it more sorta required though(or at least have a meet that is purely football/baseball/basketball action), otherwise... as I've seen in other meets, only three or four people will be throwing the ball around. But I'd really like to see a real game at one of theses meets. Maybe S13s vs. S14s, FBs vs. coupes, whatevers clever. I'll bring my spare clothes just in case.

Anthony you got some great ideas, except making the meet during lunch time. Bah... I don't wanna deal with getting people to bring enough food to feed 50+ people. :P But an afternoon snack (with lumpia!) would be nice. Pizza sounds like a good idea too. Little Caesar has large single-topping pizzas for $5 each. They'll probably all be cold by the time people get to eat them though. Sodas would be good too. Those supermarket imitation brands are good enough.

And yeah, bring a foodball, baseball stuff, whatever. Parking Lot 3 and so on are closed but the park is open. RC cars would be cool too, hehheh...

I'll be there. I'll bring some bags of chips :)

dang, I should have brought my RC car down here. Left it at my parent's place up in Oregon. doh! :bash:

Get two jack stands and we can have a fun race. That's what my good friend and I did in college and believe me the jackstands dont' move, and ur car gets owned if u hit it, lol.

hey, cold pizza is the shizzle! it would be cool to get a game on, but, other people should bring stuff too! and does anyone have a yokomo drift R/C car? bring it! I guess 2pm is prime for some afternoon fun. and to those who want a drive, since most of you are coming from south bay, milpitas, fremont, etc. there's Calaveras Rd that goes from south of Pleasanton to San Jose.

Yeah and it's one lane for both directions and has no guardrails and is full of SUVs and bicyclists on a nice sunny Sunday afternoon. Great road. :p Now let's not name anymore roads!

Those who wanna go for a drive afterward, go for it. Get some people and go for a drive. It won't be part of the meet for numerous reasons but don't complain afterward that since it wasn't part of the meet, you didn't get to go driving. -_-

It seems that our mailing list has not been working for several days now. :bash: Less than 2 weeks until the meet and the mailing list stops working. Arrrgh... Not good! This means that the list doesn't even know about the upcoming meet. Karsten better have it up and running again soon.

We might have to reschedule. We'll see what happens.

What do you guys think about pushing the meet back one week, to March 21? Would that interfere with any other events?

:P It's because the mailing list, which has 100+ people on it, didn't receive the meet info. But it'd be nice to be able to drive my own car to the meet too.
