Bad MAFs?
 

Done tons of research on this forum,yahoo,google, and nico club but i cant seem to find anyone who has the same symptoms.

I have an s14 sr in my s13 chassis and recently i have had a little bit of trouble. It will start 3 out of 4 times and on the 4th one it pretends to start. ie. the tach only reads about 200 then the car dies. ill let it sit for an hour to an hour and a half and try and start it again with great success. when the car's running its flawless other than the fact that its running extremely rich. maybe an exaggeration but i notice black smoke coming out of the exhaust when the cars in boost.

im running a z32 maf along with a jwt ecu. msd #72 injectors jgy fuel rail gt2871r .86 a/r and a topspeed intake manifold.

im thinking its a maf problem but any other insight from you guys would be appreciated

could be a fuel pump issue. but why would it work 3 out of 4 times? it seems to me like the motor is flooding out
