Upcoming drift events
 

To the fortunate few of you (us) "in the know"... what will next years calendar of drift events look like?
I assume most of SpeedtrialUSAs events will have a run group "C", so we can put those down... and there's Jan 25ths Drift Day 4 (DD4).
Does anyone else plan to organize events? Charlie?
So far I can see drift events on the following dates of 2003:

Club 4AG event(s):
Jan. 25: Irwindale Speedway parking lot

SpeedtrialUSA events:
January 25-26: [clash!] 2003 California Speedway
May 31 - June 1: 2003 Streets of Willow
June 14-15: 2003 California Speedway
August 9-10: 2003 Buttonwillow Raceway
December 13-14: 2003 California Speedway
December 20-21: 2003 Streets of Willow

there's a battle version drift day in norcal on the 25th of january too....damn. i wish it was the next week haha..i'd be at both! :mad:

bring some of those drift events here to texas please!!! i cant find any drift events here in texas.... :(

I don't think they're having a "Car Control Group", in the interior course at California Speedway.

The Hawaii 2003 calender hasn't been totally released yet, however as I know right now there is a Drift Session 2 lapping session tomorrow at HRP from 8AM - 4PM then

Then January 4th from 10AM - 3PM
February 16th, "King of the Street" including a chokudori/drift competition.

still havent found any good drifting places in the midwest (STL KC) area
does anyone know of a course remotely close[I] (500 miles)

you could go to autocrosses??? if that helps

Is battle version a company that sponsers/hosts drift events?
Cauz I know they make (or just sell?) suspension products :confused:

Tonight in Hawaii there will be a Drift/Bike Stunts/Drag race/dounut competition at Hawaii Raceway Park. It'll be from 9PM-12AM. Rather than being judged by a few people, this competition will be based instead on audience reaction.

Also, Drift Session will be held on March 15th.

Honolulu, HI
April 19th, Drift Session short course lapping event.
Beginners are encouraged to attend and learn the art of drifting.
Entry fee is just $75!
Hope to see any of you who can make it there!

wish we had drift events on the East coast.. besides the One a year that NASA puts on...

Hey Muzzy, there's no drift event scheduled for May. However, there is a drift lapping event on June 28 and also July 12th.

Signal Auto came down to Hawaii last year in September with their Drifter-X ichigo-80 and Fumiaki Komatsu.

there is going to be an event in May in hawaii...and it will be the debut (how do you spell that?) of some REALLY interesting cars ;)

Alright peoples, listen up. It has been confirmed that there WILL be a special drift event for May 2003 at Hawaii Raceway Park! On May 25th, from 5PM to 10PM.

Here's where the kick assage part comes in....As many of you know, last year Signal Auto brought down to Hawaii the Drifter X and Driver Fumiaki Komatsu. Well, this year, they're upping the ante. Rather than just bringing down the Drifter X and Komatsu, they're bring down Drifter X, Driver Fumiaki Komatsu AND Drifter XL and Driver Kazuya "Chunky" Bai!!!!!!! This is going to be a serious "the mad rock the house" event. So if you're in town on that day, come to the track and run w/ the best!

Bai is definitely good, but when you watch him on the same track as Koguchi... he just doesn't look all that great anymore!!

i didn't know that hatchbacks looked so good with an S15 front end...........

Hahaha... they do... but IMHO, the fastback looks better with an S13 silvia non-projector front end. :)
