Zilvia Meet-Interest/Attendance Poll
 

With TNord's help, we found an ideal place. http://www.midamericamotorplex.com/ We were thinking of August 15-17, the place is located in Pacific Junction, IA. There's a great road course, a 1/4 mile track, a kart track, and a jet ski lake. It's almost in the center of the US (Location was a big deal for us, considering how many of you guys live in all different parts of the country). We wanted to make this a big meet, and the more of you guys tell us you're interested, the better it will get. Eight months is sufficient for planning. Please let us know if you are interested. We'd like to have a raffle, do bbq, race, and have fun. Post any other ideas you guys might have, we'd like to know what you think.

I'd drive damn near anywhere to meet up with cool ppl and run the s14 :) Longest trip for a meet so far was 16hrs, may as well go for 20 :p

I just dont care to drive that far for a 240sx meet. Theres already a bunch of 240sx meets in Socal :D..

we should also have skill training and crap like that for moron newbie wanna be autox drivers like me...

But I will make it happen only if it's worth it. ::50 road courses seem to be worth it:: My only issue is getting the SR out there. She would be great going out but coming back after flogging her on the track for a few hours is a different beast altogether. Maybe I will trailer it w/ my mom's explorer.

Sounds like a great idea and I really hope it comes together, but it is a bit far for me.

I don't see 50 road courses? I do see one pretty handsome one though - just bring extra brakes, I see several serious braking zones w/o much cooling space.

Jet Ski lake would a lot of fun.

Edit: Well, now that I eased off the fact that someone made the world's perfect Auto Racing Complex, I read that the jet ski racing won't be open 'till 2004. Not sure that any of you wanted to go do jet ski racing anyway, but yeah... :(

I need to go to a meet but I can drive that far. My car likes to die on me as it is, cant drive her 1000+ miles, race than come back home. Sorry fellas have fun though.

If I were to go am I allowed to bring friends who dont drive Nissan. The reason I ask is I dont wanna drive the whole way by myself that would not be much fun.

its nice to know you guys are settign something up like this, I will definately have my car by then, no major mods, just a few suspension mods, and autocross experience. But you know I'll be there of course pretty close for me.

And to whoever asked about the 240sx meet on the east coast, the convention is going to be in atlanta this year, but that will be in april i think.

i think non-nissans should be allowed....especially considering i probably won't have my 240 anymore, and the guy i would bring would either have a Datsun1600 roadster or a Spec Miata.

yeah, definately non-nissan guys should be able to come.. It's a ZILVIA meet, not a 240sx meet. anyways, what kind of money would we be talkin'?

I think I can make that happen...then I might just drive back with Mark/Irena so I can go to a wedding in Ft. Collins the following weekend. Hope my new job (that I don't even have yet) won't mind. I guess I'll just tell them during the interview!

I'm interested in going...if I have a 240 by then. I should though so count me in. Is lodging up to us? Like is there a certain place you have in mind there were everybody can check-in or is it more of a "find your own damn room" thing?:D

I'm there as long as I can actually find a 240 that I want for sale. I'll get my friends to come out and make a roadtrip out of it.
