need help re performance upgrades
 

I want to upgrade performance of my 1990 240 SX coupe but maintain exterior stock appearance -- engine swap is likely. Can anyone recommend a place (preferably in southeast U.S.) that is skilled, honest, and reasonably priced? I love this car and have cared for it too much to sell. I'm new to forum, and thank you for your responses.
