Seriously though, do I have to worry about stress risers after notching my car's frame jigger to clear my harness relocation? I just cut with the cutting wheel and didn't pre-drill the end point of the cuts before hammering the metal out of the way.

I honestly have to blame the YAJ thread for that, on a forum as big as this. I'm sure it used to be a point in time, if you were doing proper shit to your car, you would get introduced to it through a message or something, or out of sheer interest, you'd find out. Now kids doing it for the wrong reasons are finding out. And it leads to shit like his forsale thread.

I wonder if any of those parts he bought off auctions even made their way to being bolted into his car. And I'm fairly sure everything he got was wayyyyy cheaper. He's always posting in the thread trying to show off his most recent win. It only disappoints me because kids like that might be keeping real enthusiasts from getting their hands on cool shit and using it, because mhubeny's top bid is 30 billion yen on a shift knob. Apologize for the rant but just felt like something had to be said about it the instant I saw his prices on his FS thread.

Dude thats like 90% of the FS posts here on zilvia now. People either buying built cars and then parting them out or buying random shit on YAJ for dirt cheap and trying to flip them for a massive profit.

go on YAJ yourself and use Streeter as your broker/shipping guy.

He knows about the auctions. His car is outfitted with some neat quality parts from what I've seen.

Have to agree with you on the forsale threads though. Sucks there is people out there who only browse to buy shit to try and flip it for money, but it is what it is. I only go on there when there is something I want to buy to then put it on my car.

No i meant in general if people are inclined to buying such items. They could easily find the item themselves on YAJ.

I got my first 240 in 2000, probably had stupid questions back then also. Times were tough back then, struggling to find our way, struggling to find parts for some obscure Nissan at a time when Civics and Integras were all the rage. By chance, at my first job, my manager was from Japan and told me about the untapped potential in my S13. Armed with a few good keywords and a speedy 56k dial up connection, I went searching. 240sx.org and nicoclub were popular destinations, zilvia didn't exist or was complete garbage back then, I don't remember. Things changed quickly though. DSL internet speeds rolled out, shops that wouldn't stock parts or work on my "10 year old Nissan that no one wants" started asking where I was ordering stuff from, and threads started popping up in our humble forums with titles like: "Intro Post - Sold Civic bought a 240" or "Cut my springs, car is bouncy, will a camber kit help?" A lot has changed, a lot has stayed the same.
