SR - Anyone have problems getting dipstick in?
 

Bought a Nissan dipstick off ebay (11140-52F00), and it doesnt want to easily go back down into the dipstick tube.

The head of the old one was broken off. The old one goes right in with no problems.

This new one seems flimsier/thinner metal. I can get it to go in, but I have to push it from the metal. Cant just push down from the head.

I guess my real question is, are there any other cars (junk yard cars) that have the same dipstick. Or something close?

I would think the braided wire type will go in much easier. I think I will head to the local pick n pull with the old stick and compare.

Might just be the fuckin way she goes bro, i have a ka but my dipstick is kind of a pita too. I just got over it

If the tube is too big just sand it

I have same problem...I try it a few ways and use the metal...gets in there eventually!

I did this today. Definitely seemed to help. Still wont just slide in, but way less friction. Less chances of slicing the shit out of my oil covered fingers!
