i dont know whats up with nick, hes probably riding on the wave of his next big idea. why not get the coupe you have running? nick said he lent/gave you the ecu and wiring harness from his white car right?

now it should be plug and play. the wiring is uber easy. every color wire from the harness should match up--when they dont make them.

old thread, but im in rapid city...if anyone lives/works on base, i "drive" the purple pos, thats sitting in the hobby shop lot...

Well it has no engine, struts are gone and old, needs new or "in good shape" hood/fenders/bumper/windshield, left side door needs repairing, maybe new interior pieces, body repair, new wheels (current ones are blown), new paint job (purple is not to hot). But yeah, that car has a long and messed up history..anywho, i know of about 3-4 240's on base, not including mine, and i think ive seen about 3 more around town....sadly i dont think they all are on these forums alot...

There is like 12 between rapid and the base.

It is cattle and fields but we have a few cars and a ton of 240s for a town the size of rapid city.

haha, i couldnt tell you, i'm on the sioux falls side...he lives in brookings and goes to rapid every weekend(wife and kid) and school in brookings

dang, lol.........anywho, whenever i get back to rapid imma try to hop into some events.....im guessing there are alot in SD...i drove through sioux falls once, and saw many import cars, and just thought about how much participation yall get at sam random event...inno, i usally hang out with ppl on base...

lol... well right now noone wants to support drifting in SD..we got an event going for late summer/fall in NE(mid america) but its not all 100% yet... and cudmore is working on things and i'll start to help out more in a few weeks here once school and such is all done

as for drifting for me its the hills or nothing, parking lots are too easy (danger =fun, i guess) plus the parking lots you can get caught easily by john law this city is a small city and my car is loud as heck.

on midwest drift i am now acronym--i am usually jdmposer, ohh, or acronym. I dont know why i am kris on here, i think something happend and when my account was recreated whom ever did it just put that name in there

Anybody have a a spare quarter panel (both sides) or rocker panel (both sides) they can spare?

^If you need those parts for your car, it needs alot of loving, you should just by new ones.

We have no events per sea just street stuff so we gonna conserve/preserve what we have. A few of us do some traveling for events and that's about it

im still waiting on my orders i graduate tech school on the 25th of jan so i'll be out there around feb 5th.

Hey quick question is a awd needed for driving in the snow or could i use a rwd with snow tires.

Unless you go off road a RWD with no snow tires (just decent tread) will do you fine. I have a 2wd ford ranger and it does okay.

Generally from October to April we see some snow but only a time or two during the year do we get anything above 3 inches--then when we get alot of snow its alot. Other than that its just cold as shit--like 13 F.
