J30 output shaft problem
 

Re-shimmed a j30 diff and when I was putting it back together the right side output shaft wouldn't go all the way in. Can anyone help me on this? I searched but didn't see anything [IMG]http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...ads/image.jpeg[/IMG]

Looks like you need to bang it in where the c clip seats.

Did you move the diff into a different housing? Why the need for a reshim?

Also vlsd output shafts are not the same as open diff output shafts.

Common problem...take it back out, loosen the pumpkin again and insert the shaft then retighten it...will be all better then!
