Race seat
 

I bought a race seat a while ago before my car stopped running, Im close to getting it back up and running and now i have to fit this seat.

I know this has been covered, i have searched but i still have some questions.

The seat is just a cheapo reclining seat that i bought to replace my factory seat since it was busted and had the gangsta lean from hell. I made the mistake of buying a bottom mount seat, Im 6'3 and i have very little head room there is no room for a helmet, I have no rails on this seat it just mounted to the brackets...

To get this seat lower will have to hammer out the cat hump if i do this will i still be able to have a cat.? Or would it be better if i removed the seat cushion? Just want to know what other tall people have done.

Car is a 1990 Coupe Hardtop.

just posted this in another thread. I have a Forza with bride type MO rails. Also bottom mount, and it fits perfect. I'm 5'10" and i have plenty of room. I bought the rail from my friend who is 6'7", and he still had room up top too.
