Re-silvering headlight housings. Silvia bricks.

Hi all, just got my used silvia bricks and man do they need to be replated. The reflective finish on the actual housing is worn bad.

Does anyone know what's the best way to resilver them? As I heard it's more reflective than chrome.
I've been looking into this kit and looks promising since no local shops could help me.

Also what is the reflective housing made of plastic, steel? All help appreciated.

Pretty sure it's plastic. Duplicolor has this paint I might try as well:

Idk about the paint.. might run, melt or not be as reflective. Otherwise yea I saw that lol thanks.

Called my local shops and they "haven't heard of it." Bunch of idiots they won't resilver because they don't know how and won't re chrome either. Already looked at electro plating and it cost a lot.

And I want to resilver not rechrome. Since silver is a better reflective.

Throw some glitter flake and crazy glue in there.

1. Buy a 24 pack of gum.
2. Chew that shit.
3. Burn paper off foil.
4. Add foil to housings.
5. Insert HID
Bam! Good as new and dont have to worry about bad breathe while explaining your custom work to the ladies.
Thank me later. :)

*more than one pack may be necessary.

Ha, I was wondering this too, I bought a set of bricks off of ebay for $220, the passenger side had silicone covering a BB hole, I just bought a broken brick from a local and swapped the glass (all I needed) I can't remember if they were metal or not, either way I was thinking the same thing, don't use paint, that shit will melt, I'm sure someone has done something

Well just got around to looking at mine and they're definitely not plastic the actual reflective housing is steel or tin. I'll have to take another look when. I get home.
