Replacement front pinion bearing discontinued
 

I'm in the process of installing a Nismo LSD into my diff. That part is fine but during the process I measured the preload of my pinion alone (no lsd) and it was way to low. I removed the pinion to add a larger adjust washer to increase the preload but figure since I have everything out I would replace the bearings.

Problem is they seem to be discontinued. The car is an S13 240sx but the diff came from either a 180sx or Silvia but it basically appears to the same as the VLSD that came in the S13 240s (no ABS) except with 5 bolt half shafts.

Anyway the front bearing part number for an S13 240sx is 38140-V7000 but this is discontinued. The part number for a S14 (and NA 300zx I believe) is 38120-13210 and I can order this. Problem is I don't know if it's different and I don't want to spend $55 to find out. Does anyone know? I also see a guy selling a 38140-61000 front bearing on ebay which I believe was for a 280z.

Anyone done this before and know which parts work?
