Will anyone explain to me why Muslims think it's ok to arrest people for breaking their laws, but then complain and protest about "discriminating" laws while in other countries? Seems a bit hypocritical and egotistic of them.

In my opinion that part of the world needs to be cut off from the rest, still trying to keep people in the stone age while the world around them is rapidly evolving just seems damn stupid. I'm not a very religious person so when I see stuff like this it is rather upsetting that they would try to force their views upon outsiders.

Can't pigeon hole all Muslims. These people aren't true to their faith.

lol @ moral police. they wont change simply because everything else is. if they believe strong, unwavering sense of tradition will determine what will happen to them in the after life, then that is what they will live by.

Give them time. They are just now coming out of their own dark age. Islamic theocracy has crushed them like the Catholic Church crushed Europe.

Honestly the dude just got detained by the authorities, it's not that bad.

Frankly, as social media grows, the more grown up the Middle East becomes. More women are going to University in Iran now then ever before. Its just a matter of time.

Unfortunately bad people use the word of god to do bad things. Thus the problem is not god, its people.

I agree, I lived in the middle east when I was a teen and it wasn't all that bad. You know the rules, you don't break them, not that big of a deal. But in reality, Saudi Arabia has always been this strict. You want more freedom, move to UAE, Qatar or Bahrain. Kuwait is strict too but not as nuts as Saudi Arabia. Atleast you can eat pork and drink alcohol in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.

PS: That kid in Singapore got whipped not for spitting or doing something superficial. He was a fucking idiot that decided to vandalize cars and public property. He deserved it and then some more.
