Our Very Own Driver Takes First In RWD Modified & Overall Modified
 

Major kudos are in order for our very own Sales Supervisor Adam Knapik! Over the weekend he won 1st place in the RWD Modified Class & Overall Modified Class with a time of 01:57.025 in his Nissan S14 at the Redline Time Attack Round 3 event at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. Both of these are great feats but the latter even more since he was faced against 4WD Monsters like Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Evos! This was ultimately a great win in the 3rd round of Redline’s Time Attack Session for Adam and the whole FRSport Team.

Awesome Job! Is there anywhere I can find out more about his car? I am debating weather or not I want to sell my Street/track Nissan 350z in order to fund a build for a track only S13 or 14.

I'm looking to time-attack my drift build. Just have to work out the aero (under carriage, front splitter, etc.) and hope I don't destroy it too much in pro am fd, lol.

I wonder what subframe modifications he has done, and what roll center corrections he has in order out on back, what kind alignment and traction rod adjustments comapred to stock.

I wish redline made it to midwest/NW as well. :(

Bad Ass!!! I ran a 2:04 on r compound (nt01s) and I was edge to edge hoping I stayed on the track lol that's really really fast! Was it ClockWise? And he did that on street tires!? (Hankook rs3?)

Please tell me there is some footage to be shared? Amazing job fellas. I too am interested in the choice of parts and some specs if you wouldn't mind sharing. (Spring rates, camber & toe, suspension and power plant list)

2:04 is very possible with RS3s if tires and suspension is setup properly. You just need more seat time to make use of NT01s.

However, 01:57...now that's just all monster skill because I can't even touch that unless I'm on Hossiers :eek:

I drive a 93 Honda civic with 182hp and my tires are 205/50r15's lol I plan to change platform in the near future. Looking forward to it.

Work your way over to TrackHQ and post in this thread. The more S-chassis cars on the lap time boards, the better.

Edit: His fast lap was on Hankook TD race tires.

Also, and I'm not exactly sure why they didn't post it up, but Adam ran a 1:54.752 at the July event at Buttonwillow to take fastest RWD of the day.

Should be doing a recap of the year as well. Ill try to do a car feature so that some of the specs are out there and ppl have an idea of what the S chassis has :D
