S14 Door locks
 

Just want to make sure I'm not missing something easy before I have it professionally repaired. My driver side door locks fine but my passenger side door seems to not catch when I try to lock it.

A while back the door was locked and wouldnt come unlocked until I pulled the panel off. Since then the door just won't lock. I can press the lock from the inside and it appears to be locked but opens right up.

I just reprogrammed a new remote to the factory security setup and when I press the lock button they both move but the lock on the passenger side still does not engage.

The actuator is working from your description, so it must be the linkage.
Pull the panel back off and look.[emoji29]

After 21 years of use, they probably need greasing or something.

i know s13's had a habit of not working(locking) unless you were holding the latch open from the outside when you closed the door. might work at least until you get the lock fixed.

Mine has the exact problem, chiming in for the fix
