I'm getting a feeling that's what the trend is.

Wasn't there a thread on that S15? And didn't people call the builder stupid for converting his S15 to 4 lug just so he can fit 15's on his car

Plenty of facepalms to go around here.

ericcastro 09-04-2011 12:03 PM

they may be 15's, but they are running a muchlarger series tire.
I imagine that they get better feedback with that larger tire size and quicker off the line with a smaller/lighter rim..

Really though, they prolly just like the style.
i do too.
i really would like to see some more cars that arent all 2006 with large tucked works.
need variety.....

DanielZ 09-04-2011 12:12 PM

Work Cr01 are the business in quite a few aspects

He probably just did it just to make the car look like shit, but I'm not sure.

Nah it's Supemade and I still can't believe he went back to 4 stud setup. I have a Drift Tengoku magazine kicking around with the article on it...

ayuaddict 09-04-2011 02:24 PM

Drift car appreciation thread? Seems pretty broad.

I personally enjoy looking at the S-chassis-on-fifteens that the OP posted.

kalypso123 09-04-2011 10:49 PM

I like the green one

icedsole 09-04-2011 11:06 PM

the whole idea behind the supermade s15 was to make a cheap and affordable demo car.
it has a very basic but nice s13 sr, converted 4 lug (for cheap tires and wheels) and not
over the top aero and paint.

personally i dig the small wheel look.

chinabean 09-04-2011 11:19 PM

I dig this look too, seems beneficial for people who track/drift their cars and wants to save money on tires, on top of that it got the old school muscle look with meaty tires on older cars, which is the opposite of how hellaflush trend/style/movement is doing but both look good too

Are you subscribed too? I'll try to post the article if I get the chance.

i love this tread, loved it for a while.

in fact, the whole reason i bought i starlet on the side was so i could get some awesome 14's with overfenders and meaty tires.

ive always loved those sort of old school wheels.

id never have the balls to do this on my zenki though

chinabean 09-05-2011 02:11 AM

^ very nice!

The unfortunate side of doing this stance/look is if it pokes out too much it starts looking like those mexican style offset

I'm more curious how these cars drift than how they look.

Does any one have specs on the rim/tire setups?

Bushido 09-05-2011 11:28 AM

the black one with the white top has cashiew overfenders... i think

pretty beastly.

Tearlessj 09-05-2011 12:37 PM

What wheels do the twin coupes have? They are fucking sick!

hellion240sx 09-05-2011 04:18 PM

i dont see how having small wheels is dorisha. isn't a dorisha just a drift/drift style car?

TheRealSy90 09-05-2011 10:02 PM

I remember when I had 14's, my car was "lame" then.

I liked it haha but i'm still 18's or bust mode.

im pretty sure they drift better then having big wheels on them( *SNIP* get ready for the flame)

probably 15 or 16x8,9, or 10.. big fat tire.
