ATTN: LONG BEACH portable smog station***
 

Saw one of those portable smog stations on LAKEWOOD between SPRING and CARSON today going northbound.

Blocked off so there is only one lane. Cops there. "survey crew". Cones, etc.

This crap is what ruined SR's for me (at least for a car I would ever drive on the street at all)

next one I build is trailer only with vins stripped and IM buying kit car status if I do anything.

car gets taken, u get a ticket, u walk home pretty much, if ur car does pass though, but it seems a bit loud, theyll put the desible reader on yah and try getting you with that,

pretty much...ive seen it happen 4 times...i got called once to pick up someone whos car was taken...then again his was moded...

no they dont take youre car away ... they will just give you a fixing ticket .. they take away the car if they dont have any insurance , driver license or current registration

i went by that but i was in my work truck

lol, I went through several of those smog checkpoints in my S13. One of those times, I was running an open downpipe with no cat, and expired registration (just got the car running after it was sitting for two months). Another time, I was running a 3inch Apexi N1 with no cat.
Never once did they make me stop. They always waved me through.


I also went through a DUI checkpoint while I was stoned one time. I was sweating bullets and nearly shit myself, but they waved me through. lol

Maybe I'm just lucky?
