https://i.imgur.com/xhKSddW.jpg I'm going to get the front lip on this car soon. I'm slowly sourcing 5speed swap parts and I'll be set. I have some old school HKS headers, too. I love this car as an automatic but the previous Silvia I had was a manual Q's and it was pretty fun. I'd imagine an NA CA Silvia Q's is the Nissan equivalent of an AE86, although I've never been in one lol. |
Wanted to put this in a separate post, but thanks for trying to hit the mark!
Most cars posted her are exactly what this thread is about. I don't want anyone to come off as a braggart for their find...I want to (hopefully) make people realize you don't have to spend a fuckton to make these cars sit nice and look good. Thank you all for helping out. |
1991 hatch picked her up early last year this is how she currently sits.

The OEM+ / S-Chassis Preservation Thread
I was always the OEM plus guy I owned for about 12 years now originally from California then shipped to a dealership in Jacksonville North Carolina .. here is my 97’ Hardtop SE . Starfire Blue 240sx . S14 . Still KA24 although it is turbo now . Z32 rear end . All oem aero . Seating on R33 gtrs . https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...69f48ad8cd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d703bea34c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d35ac8e5c0.jpg

jdmlivin: Looks like it's coming along great!
I was lucky enough to snag a pignose for my 240SX before I left for Japan. I sold my Type X here and I told myself I'd get a genuine 180SX front bumper for my 240SX after that. I'm trying to source all OEM aero parts so I can mix-and-match in my later years. I really want to be that dude that has dual projectors, triple projectors, bricks, aero bar, non-aero bar, OEM sides, and OEM rear valences on deck to change the look of my S13 Silvia if I get bored. Same goes for the S15. I feel like it's a good way to keep the same car for a long time, but mix and match shit whenever you feel the itch to move on. Constant struggle. |

^^^ I remember when I FIRST got into SChassis that your car was one of my favorites. I even got a couple of hydrodipped valve covers from you. Do you still have the car? It's still at the top of my favorite's list.

Silviaks2nr has always had the most aggressive wheel and tire specs on s14 fenders

Can't say I ever thought that sentence would leave my lips... |
Thanks! yeah I still have the car but it has been sitting for a few years as I've worked on other projects. I've had it since 2004. It is painted a 90s GM color- and I'd like to re-do the seats and door inserts in saddle leather at some point to tie it all together.

You guys are killing me with these S14s! Such beautiful lines...now I want one.

I think I'll post some S15 pictures in here soon. I was lucky enough to (with the unyielding support of my BFFL) scoop an aero bumper a few days ago. A coworker bought my NA/automatic AJ4 Spec S and his tires should be showing up this week. Both of us opted to use factory aero options. VERY EXCITE. |
|
I would say OEM plus. S14 Silvia. Full JDM conversion. Lots of JDM OEM options. A few highlights...fully functional JDM DCC, OEM HUD, and rear window louvers w Cusco coilovers and 18-19 staggered set up. I have no idea still how to post or add a pic to any of my post...

I've always been a huge fan of OEM+. Never really been a fan of aftermarket kits as they don't do as well at complimenting factory lines.
This is my car and my partners car. My car came with all the factory type x kit so i was lucky i never had to search for any of the kit. My girlfriends car on the other hand was bone stock. It took maybe a year or so to get it looking the way it is. https://i.imgur.com/q4hr6Jw.jpg |
^Perfection with a capital P. Well done sir!

Just found this thread now, glad to see others that are in the same mindset as myself. Been buying S14s since 2002 and always loved the OEM+ style. Currently own 2 1998 Nissan 240SX, one is entirely stock and the other has a fully built S14 SR20DET and the plan is to replicate a JDM S14. Hoping to own these for a long time.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d80fc01a9f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...64117e468e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...340b6e5a5a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ff82a37e49.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e3abc5af42.jpg
