A Mild Brake Upgrade...Input Please

I recently bought my first 240 (92 S13) and got the feva. I essentially haven't stopped working on this car since the first night it spent in my drive way.

My goals with this car for now is no more than 250 whp for a very streetable/occasionally autox'd car.

I've done lots of research regarding different brake setups for the beloved 240. For budgeting reasons primarily, I've decided on a 180sx style brake setup:

FRONT-

  • Pre-2000 Maxima calipers front left and right (w/ accompanying bracketry and hardware)
  • 2001 Nissan SE-R rotors
  • Stainless steel brake lines
  • High performance pads.
REAR-

  • Stock s13 calipers??
  • Aftermarket high performance rotors for s13
  • Stainless steel brake lines
  • High performance pads.
I've done tons of searching around different forums and online and can't find too much solid info about this setup (namely maxima calipers).

Is it plausible?
Will keeping my rear calipers stock provide for too much braking bias?
Will it be a safe and effective braking system?
Any known sources for Maxima calipers (all online parts stores are crap)?

Thanks in advance for your input. I'm very grateful sites like this exist (knowledge is power).

Why not do just a z32 brake upgrade?

a $3000 dollar set of wilwood brakes will probably not net you more than 1 second MAX on a course with no long straights to slow down for.

Really, the most budget upgrade is to just swap out or resurface your rotors and upgrade to ceramic brake pads. I'd go with hawk performance for the pads.

if your not really racing the car hardcore, get some 300z brakes, q45 brakes are a nice upgrade, or just get some braided lines, hawk pads, and some nice rotors...

Evo/ Sti Brembo brakes in front
Z32 brakes in rear.

That's what I want.
