Hey, a few of my friends are filming a touge drifting/racing documentary based in California. So far its mostly 240's. There's a couple trailers on their YouTube - HazardLines's Channel Just trying to get the word out, Rate/Comment if ya got a sec. Subscribe for updates blah blah blah ya know the drill.


Soon we'll be headed down to the LA area to shoot some of the final clips on the beautiful southern California roads. I know a lot of you guys live around there; it'd be rad to get some of you're sick rides in the DVD! That being said, nothing crazy! Not trying to promote any kind of illegal street racing/drifting etc. Strictly documenting local roads/cars/drivers/events etc. So let us know if you hear of any things happening, or if you want to be in the film.

Anyways, let me hear some opinions

Yeah, I agree with the first poster in the Youtube vid, and Irax lol. I'm all for doing fun shit in your car, but wrong lane = people die.

we got highway 49 alot of poeple like to ride,
you would have to make some announcements though so all the 240 and driftnerds pop out from there holes, not many ppl get out unless its organized

So you are illegally speeding in canyon roads with a couple amount of cars and recording it and posting it on the net for EVERYBODY to see.

Also, I'm down for people having fun, but shit, just be careful on those roads.

Do admit though, I do like watching this videos and it raises the hair on the back of my neck and my heart gets racing. I know somebody had to get hurt or do some damage to their cars watching these scenes. Should post up a damage report after a damage scene or at the end of the run. haha

i don't mind people crossing lanes as long as they can see the road ahead enough to be safe.

most of that shit was ridiculous though.

im surprised everyone see it differently, but maybe the ones who agree with me just aren't posting.

I think it looks fun, but watching it just seems kind of boring. I'm not a film artist but maybe some type of editing would make it a little more exciting? I feel like watching amateur high way racing videos are a little more exciting to watch than this.

Hmmm...

1 Wreck on Public Road = Bumper, fender, suspension damage, maybe more, bodily harm, risking killing someone, fines, possible jail time. Cost $250-$10,000+++

Compare that to buying a cage, fire suppression system, and going racing legally, whether hill climb, track day, auto-x or rally, and while you may invest more, you're known risk is also lower. So you spend a little more, but might not pay as much if something goes south.

The grey area is running cages and harnesses on the street, and closing down roads for illegal activity. Probably mitigates most of the collateral damage involved, but it's still illegal, so fines are probably still that added cost. (Track day entrance fees vs court fees?)
