how to fix this dent
 

hey everybody i have had this dent for a while and im tired of it plus want to pain the car soon. now how could i get it out myself? and level ot the tail light so it looks like the other?

It looks some what easy but the photos with that zoom do no good.

You could make a hole in the panel of the door and with something long you can push the dent out but the rigidity may not be the same, that happened to me in my sentra where i had a little bump on the door and it popped out that way but you can push it in and out now.

Are you takin bout the tail light dent? Its on some really hard metal there i don't think its going to push out that easy.

On your quarter take interior apart enough to (work metal) back out then use body hammer to hammer down the "crown" of the dents grind it, fill it, remember feather out your grinds. Do work, seal, prime, paint. Put back together. On the tail light find a stud gun

can i rent a stud gun? also what does it do exactly?

You fix it by taking it to a body shop. Obviously you have zero knowledge on this and if you tried doing it, you will probably do a shitty job since you're lazy enough not to look for a solution on your own.

well theres only one way to learn and thats by doing it i was just asking for help. i didnt know anything about cars till i did the swap witch took me forever but i finally got it running, plus learned alot from it.

Stud gun is basically a spot welder that "spot welds" a "stud" therefore a stud gun. I dont think you can rent one. Ask around. But if you have NO experience try to ask around your local forum for someone To do it, Im a painter at a shop and do side work for my fellow s chassis owner. I know there someone who'll help buddy, if not go to a Oreilly auto parts or a Checkers idk if they all converted and there is a "How to do bodywork" book it's like 15 bucks

ok thank you! i was just watching a video on it looked neat i have a few extra parts i can pracitce on. also i will see if i can find a shop that wont mind helping.

the dent on the side should be real easy to fix what you need to do is take out your trim right there and with a hammer band out the dent not too much your not gunna get it perfect then the small remaining dent needs to be sanded down with a da and then needs to be filled with body filler then you have to block it by hand to get it smooth then seal and prime, you really need to take out that light so you can get a better picture of what is really going on right there but most likley you will need to cut out a small section on an other s13 and weld it in then bondo the seams and prime and there you go basic auto body 101

siliva716 yea i herd i may need to cut and reweld that part but im hoping i will not, if so no big deal my dad has weldeders. also he is pretty good.

just make sure you use a mig welder with atleast 70,000 tensle strength wire if you want to keep up with ii-car standards
