Tire Stretching Techniques
 

So i'm actually posting this for a friend, but i need to know this as well in the near future. He is trying to mount a 225/45/17 on a 17x9, so far to no avail. Are there any tricks to this?

leave the tires in the sun for a couple hours

yep
depends on tire too some are harder to strectch then others
but the sun technique works great

what tire is he using?

Some tires wont stretch for crap.

I have 215/40/17 on a 17 x 9 its yokohama and i have a 225/50/15 on a 15x9 its falken
