S14 wheel offset?!?!?!?
hey everybody!! I am new to the site and I am currently building a S14 and do not want play a guessing game when buying a set of wheels, that said it is going to be a 6.0L LS series t56 chevy drivetrain Looking for something around a 10.5" rear and 8.5-9.5" and not looking to run extreme camber angles the car will have full suspension and will be capable of all camber adjustment... Just looking for a good clean flush fit! any Ideas or suggestions Id appreciate all the advise you all have thanks
so I realize these arent the best offsets but I just came across a decent deal on some work VS-SS
F 17x8 +30 R 17x9 +35 tell me what you think |
Go look at the wheel fitment thread at least.
Those sizes suck... |
you can check out varrstoens they seem like they come in the sizes that you are looking for. 18x9.5 +12 and 18x10.5 +15. the problem is that with a wheel that wide you do need a roll pull depending on your tire size.
thanks for the advise guys I ended up winning the work VS-SS wheels threw out an offer I never thought would be accepted so now I guess Ill just have to fit them on and run spacers :(... not all bad still sick ass looking wheels!! http://www.vrwheels.com/images/A_6204.JPG
some spacers would help, nice set of wheels tho
ok, so why do they suck? You can run a 255 rear tire with the +35 offset and it will roughly flush and the front will be close.
I like the wheels though. |
That's what I was hoping for is a 255 rear and maybe a 235 front as long as it's close I can deal with a small spacer to get the exact fitment... Like I said too good of a deal to pass up on I Paid 1000 shipped for the wheels thanks for the compliments Ill try to post some pictures of them on the car when I get them!!
A +20 offset for the rear on an S14 is pretty flush without any roll on your quarter panels. On the fron i would go with at least -0. Take whatever your offsets are now and adding spacers to it in order to get the offset you want.
Also since you have full suspension, im guessing coilovers, your wheels are going to rub on your coils and not clear them with those offsets. So you will deffinitely need a spacer.
So you didn’t search effectively, had already bought something and asked anyway?
I would advise to check the above-linked wheel fitment thread if you still have questions, and to make sure you’re looking for information from here forward. |
