GTA V Trailer Debut Today
 

An hour and 36 minutes until the trailer debuts. Love when a new GTA is announced.

There's reports too that this will be the first digital ONLY release. Meaning NO retail copy. or if there is a retail copy you just get a package with some special edition stuff, and then you have to go download it.

I can't wait! I wish they would have given a release date of some sort. My guess would be holidays 2012.

Rockstar officially announced it's a return to San Andreas.

from the looks of the trailer though it's set in modern day, not the 90's.

No release date, or any other details have been released.

I'm stoked, I loved San Andreas when I played it before, hopefully will be able to fly the Harrier again lol

EDIT: @58 seconds on the trailer I see what appears to be an F35 hmmmmmmmmm(crosses fingers)

This is interesting. IGN is speculating that the dude in the trailer at about :40 into the trailer may be Tommy Vercetti from Vice City.

Trailer is great. I am so ready for this. San Andreas is still my favorite GTA to date. I hope 5 can top it.

Since it is download only, that will probably cut down the pirating issue on console.
If that is the case, it is probably the same game engine with just updates to it.

Another one in San Andreas? Feels too soon, and personally I am not a fan of the ghetto atmosphere.
Really hoped they would do a completely new location, or at least go in order and revisit Vice City which was my favorite of the games, although that was mainly because of the 80's setting.

That game came out 8 years ago. Which seems like a lot of time, but I'm sue it's going to be a completely different experience, just as GTA4 was different then GTA3 even though they were set in the same city.

Also, Sn Andreas took place in the 90's during all the gang activity so it felt that way intentionally. This looks like it's set in modern day so that won't really be a focus...it doesn't seem.

I doubt you actually play as Tommy. You probably do missions for him or something. They seem to have showed a lot of footage of the guy in the convertible.

Either way a tie in would be cool.

Well the track they were taking I was always speculating that after San Andreas it would be a European location. First game the 3 areas/islands were Liberty city, Vice city and San Andreas. Then after that London 1969 came out then GTA2...so I've sort of been hoping for a Euro location but I guess not. San Andreas was always fun though.

I thought I was tired of the series too, but that's what trailers are for. I'm ready to play again!

london 1969 only existed because Austin Powers was a big deal

Had no idea this was coming out but now I want to play...
